According to a previous opinion of the Municipality of Coimbra, from which the following excerpt is added:

“4- Thus, and in relation to the type of constructions in Agricultural space, it should be noted:

• Buildings are permitted pursuant to article 66 of the PDM Regulation, when intended for: housing, support for agricultural, livestock and forestry activities, livestock installations, isolated tourist developments, recreation and leisure facilities, connected industrial establishments to the food, beverage and wood and cork industry, as well as industrial establishments related to extractive activity, activities that contribute to strengthening the economic base and promoting employment in rural areas, equipment for collective use, buildings related to civil protection.

• The buildability indices and other urban parameters applicable to each of the uses listed above are defined, respectively, in articles 67 to 75 of the PDM Regulation.

• Prior contact with the Regional Entity of the National Agricultural Reserve of the Center (ERRANC) is recommended, since, as the land is covered by this public utility easement, any licensing in this area will be preceded by a prior binding opinion from this entity.

• Prior contact with the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development of the Center is recommended, as the entity that oversees REN, since, as the land is covered by this public utility easement, any licensing in this area will be preceded by a prior opinion binding on this entity.

5- Regarding the type of agricultural/livestock activity, it is not up to the City Council to define and/or specify the type of agricultural use to be adopted.

6- Any future urban construction operation is subject to licensing, under the terms of the Legal Regime for Urbanization and Building, and the process must be instructed under the terms of Ordinance No. 113/2015 of 22 April;
