The Ķirbiži Manor Complex is located in Vilkene municipality, Limbazi district and consists of a 5 ha plot of land, the Manor (Main) House, a tea house and an outbuilding. Thanks to the reconstruction of the Manor Complex, the 18th-century Classical Main House, the 19th-20th-century outbuildings and the manor stable, a remarkable example of Art Nouveau architecture, have been restored to their former glory. The restoration and reconstruction of the Ķirbiži Manor complex has been carried out in an effort to preserve the original appearance of the buildings and the park down to the smallest details of the interior and landscape. The reconstruction process has brought pleasant surprises: the original ceiling paintings have been uncovered and fragments of magnificent masonry heater have been found in the so-called Main House. To preserve the authenticity of the buildings, the restorers have abandoned modern technologies and materials. The Manor was originally built for the von Aderkas Family, and it is known that Baumanis Karlis, the author of the Latvian national anthem, worked as a home teacher at Ķirbiži Manor in the mid-19th century, while today the Manor Complex is suitable for people who enjoy a social lifestyle or for a large family that wants to distance themselves from the stress of the world. The ground floor of the Manor has a spacious and luxurious lobby, cloakroom, kitchen, dining room, large white ballroom, chapel, coffee lounge for leisurely coffee, men's card room for gamblers, ladies' tea room for relaxed and social conversations and a music room for undisturbed musical enjoyment. The second floor consists of five hotel apartments, three larger and two smaller. Each apartment has a small living room, bedroom and bathroom. The semi-separated attic floor can accommodate up to 35 people. The basement has a cosy meeting room, wine cellar, storage rooms and guest amenities. The outbuilding of the Manor Complex is designed as a small house for small parties. The fireplace in the house creates a cosy and homely environment. All the rooms of the manor are decorated with individually selected and restored furniture that fits perfectly into the interior, almost every room has a restored masonry heater. The Manor Complex is built in the form of a semi-island and is surrounded on three sides by Vītrupe River. The complex is very spacious, picturesque and well maintained. The square in front of the Main House is paved with massive millstones. The area has several sports fields and a sauna for relaxation. During the restoration and reconstruction of the Manor Complex, not only the aesthetic aspect of the buildings has been considered, but also the technical support. There is electricity, a heat pump, a diesel generator, a water borehole and a bio-sewerage system.
